The Fishbowl Poké restaurant in Munich’s Glockenbach district is right on trend! Just as trendy: the contemporary furnishing concept by WAGNER and designer Florian Kienast. Poke is a particularly healthy dish that originated in Hawaii. It consists of a rice or quinoa base, healthy proteins, fresh vegetables, a homemade sauce and delicious toppings and crunches. The ingredients can be put together individually.
Just like the poke dish, the entire store design is characterized by individuality. The tables manufactured by Wagner are made of rustic, cracked and knotty core oak. In combination with the simple steel frame, this is a structurally solid and almost indestructible combination. The untreated dark brown core leather of the benches continues the simple and coarse material tone.
In contrast, the W-1970 Gastro chairs look almost delicate. For the first use in a catering project, the combination of a leather-covered seat with a wooden backrest was used. Here, as with the table tops, the look of the materials used is intended to acquire a natural patina over time. This feature runs through the entire design concept of the area. The counter cladding in the look of rusty raw steel, the spatula surfaces on the wall in exposed concrete quality, as well as the industrial tiles in the back buffet continue this simple, raw – very compatible – material tone.
